Sorry!

Hey everyone! I'm sorry I don't Have a lot of time to write an email this week, but as far as the week goes, it was pretty uneventful! I don't have any good stories for you this week. However, I did accidentally tell all the elders in my district that I loved them...quite loudly lol it was awkward. We were leaving the computer room and one of the elders was talking to his brother and we had to leave so I was like "okay bye elders!" then Elder Legones was like "Sorry, the Sisters are just leaving so it got kind of loud", so I looked at him and said "GOODBYE ELDERS, I LOVE YO-...." and then I stopped as I realized what I said ðŸ˜‚😅 so that's awkward! Also, transfers are next Monday! I can't believe it's been 6 weeks already! It's crazy! Anyways, I hope you know that I love you all and I hope you have a great week! Remember to always look on the bright side, and if you can't seem to see the bright side, get on your knees and ask Heavenly Father to help you. He is always there and He will always help you. A quote that came to my mind is one my mom always had above our piano that says "When life gets to hard to stand, kneel." I love that!

Have a wonderful week everyone, I promise I'll write more next week.

I have an announcement! I accidentally roasted a Mennonite!

So this week was great! We found 4 people this week! One of them, Tayshia, was such a miracle! So we received a notification to follow up with someone who wasn't interested in the church but we decided to follow up and see if he was interested yet. Well, when we knocked on the door, Tayshia answered and said we could come back the next day. So we did, and taught her the Restoration, which she really liked! She said we could come back and teach her some more! We also had interviews with President Hitchcock this week, which was great! He's awesome. Earlier this week we also helped a lady in our ward, Sister McDonald make cookies for an activity day and she did a little dance with a chef hat on, it was hilarious. She's awesome and so funny, I love her.

So to tell you about my awkward subject line, we did White Pony Lodge this weekend and this guy who was in our group picked up a flyer which happened to be a Mennonite pamphlet. I started talking about how I met some Mennonite people in Ontario and in Winnipeg and I was like, "Some of them were really nice, but some of them were really rude and just ripped us apart." Well, to my utter horror, he gently punched me in the arm and said "tread lightly there", after which I realized he is Mennonite and I totally just roasted his entire religion after talking about how people always roast the church ðŸ˜£ if I could pick any moment to die, then would have been good. I felt so bad! He was nice though, and he didn't say much about it and then it was all fine because he talked to me and Sister Stephens about the church and other stuff. He at one point made a joke because he found a shoe and he was like "you wanna know the German word for shoe? Das Boot" and then a few minutes later, I found a sock and I was like "Hey, you wanna know the English word for sock?" they were all like, "yeah", and I was like "it's sock" ðŸ˜‚😂 it was seriously the best joke ever ðŸ˜‚ I'm hilarious.

Anways, as a surprise for you all, I GOT A WEAVE. I've been wanting to do it for a while but today I finally did! That's my announcement.

Now for my spiritual thought! I've done a lot of thinking about faith this week. There's so much I could tell you but the thing I want you all to know is that it's okay if you don't have faith, start with hope and grow from there. Heavenly Father DOES know you, and He loves you! So have faith and don't let hard times get you down! Think about this: if you don't have faith that Heavenly Father will answer your prayers, what's the point of asking? There is none! We have to have faith of we want answers. If we doubt that He will help us, then why would He bother to allow to see miracles? Anyways, I love you all and I hope you have an amazing week!

P. S. The church is true!!! ðŸ˜„❤

Short email, long week!

Hello everyone, how was your week??? Mine was alright, it hasn't been the best week, but it's all good, because this week will be even better! This email will be kind of short so I apologize in advance.
We had zone conference this week, and it was soo good! We had this awesome opportunity to do service for an event called Mosaic. We volunteered at the Caribbean pavilion and the African Pavilion and it was so much fun! There was this really cool guy who ate fire!!! It was awesome.
This week we also did service for a lady who is really interested in the Church. We are so excited for her to learn. We also had several people drop us, but we found a couple others!
We also received a watermelon from the other ward's bishop, he's so nice, we were having a rough day, but it made us feel so much better!
Honestly, I don't have time to write all the events of our week but I promise I will write more next week. I love you all so much and I hope you have a great week!

Long week but still going!!!

So this week was a bit of a long one! I'm getting settled in to Regina, but it's very different from Bergland!! Anyways, we've been really busy this week! We have gone to a few dinner appointments where a few little kids are slightly aggressive but adorable! Even if they do wipe watermelon and spit on me ðŸ˜‚ we also went to this recent converts house and she has this adorable little girl who is just learning to talk. She's so funny, she likes to laugh at herself a lot.

Anyways, this week hasn't really been that interesting, we've just been running non stop. In doing so, I got really stressed out about everything and I felt awful for a few days. But then Sunday came, and as the day wore on, I felt a thousand times better. In sacrament Meeting, there was a great talk and the lady said something that really hit me as I thought about my week. "Do we have patience to understand what we're asking of Heavenly Father?" This question made me really rethink my prayers. Am I asking Heavenly Father questions that I am ready and willing to accept the answer to? And do I have patience to wait for the answers I need? I thought about that a lot and it really made me change my attitude and thoughts about a few things. I'm so glad, however, that I have a Savior who loves me and is willing to stand with me, even when I'm impatient and unwilling to accept the answers I receive.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and remember to have patience when you're waiting for an answer. I love you all, and I'll talk to you soon!

Squirrel!!! and a 10 hour drive

So this week has been really crazy! I've been very busy! I had to drive all the way to Regina which was a 10 hour drive. The drive was really pretty too! Then I got here and met my new companion, Sister Stephens, she's great! She is super nice. It was really sad saying goodbye to people in Bergland, but I have met a lot of people that I love already! Also, today, we ran over a squirrel! It was sad...

Saturday, we had the chance to go to White Pony Lodge, which is a volunteer service where you walk around and pick up heroine needles, cookers, and things like that. It's kinda sketchy because it's in a bad part of town but it's really fun and we're safe!

Last night we were tracting and found a new Person, he's pretty nice. We gave him a Book of Mormon and he said he would read it! There's also a guy in our apartment building that is super interesed in what we do as missionaries. We gave him a Book of Mormon too and he said he would read it! He's super nice, he keeps wanting to make meals for us, we just haven't found a good time to do it!

Anways, I love you all and Im sorry this email is so short! But to end with a spiritual thought, this is Luke 18:9-14 " 9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted."

Remember that you can give all to the Lord, but if you do it out of pride, it will be as though you gave nothing. Remember humility in all you do! Have a great week!
